Tree farms at Galbraith Mountain will temporarily close to public access from Wednesday, December 4, 2024, through Friday, December 6, 2024, to conduct a carefully managed bow hunt aimed at controlling the deer population. Recreational users are urged to respect the closure for their safety and the success of this effort.

In light of the devastating fires across the west coast, forest health and fire safety, Janicki Logging plans plans to thin approximately 420 acres of Galbraith Tree Farm starting Thursday, October 15th, 2020.

Recreation Northwest to honor one the forests we manage, Galbraith Tree Farm, along with the City of Bellingham, Whatcom Land Trust, and Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition with its 2019 Great Outdoors Award for Community Collaboration.

Galbraith Tree Farm LLC has taken the bold step of securing the public’s recreational use of 2,229 acres, including 46 miles of trails on Galbraith Mountain by selling easement rights to The City of Bellingham and Whatcom Land Trust.
